LaundryBaba is the operator of the brand LaundryBaba and the website www.laundrybaba.in(the “Site”). LaundryBaba respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes, concisely, how your data is collected and used by LaundryBaba on the Site and in our apps. As a visitor or customer, please read this policy carefully. By accessing the services provided by the Site you agree to the collection and use of your data in the manner described here.
Account creation and management happen in the LaundryBaba app; the website does not create user accounts. In the app, we may collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, mobile number and contact details, delivery address, and — where you choose to provide it — a basic profile, together with your order history and app usage.
On the website, we do not require registration and keep data collection to a minimum. When you start a booking, the details you enter (such as your name, phone number and address) are passed to us through WhatsApp to arrange your pickup and are not stored in a website database. If you submit the optional feedback form, we store the feedback and any contact details you provide. We also measure page views and site performance using privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics.
LaundryBaba collects personally identifiable information when you create an account or place an order in the app, when you submit a booking or feedback on the website, or through a voluntary survey. The Site may contain links to other websites; LaundryBaba is not responsible for the privacy practices of sites it does not own, manage or control. The Site uses only essential cookies needed to keep authorised staff signed in to secure areas, together with privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics that measure page views and site performance in aggregate. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other websites.
LaundryBaba will not use your financial information for any purpose other than to complete a transaction with you. LaundryBaba does not rent, sell or share your personal information, and will not disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties, except: where you have given permission and it is necessary to provide a product or service you requested (in which case it may be shared with our business associates and partners); on an aggregate basis with partners where deemed necessary; for promotional offers; to investigate, prevent or take action regarding unlawful activity, suspected fraud, or threats to safety; to enforce our Terms; or in special circumstances such as compliance with subpoenas, court orders or lawful requests from authorities.
To protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of information under its control, LaundryBaba has appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures in place. Our servers are accessible only to authorised personnel, and your information is shared with employees and authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis to complete transactions and provide the services you request. While we endeavour to safeguard the confidentiality of your information, transmissions over the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure; by using the Site you agree that LaundryBaba has no liability for disclosure of your information due to errors in transmission or unauthorised acts of third parties.
We use a routing algorithm to generate pickup and delivery routes for last-mile delivery. These routes are downloaded to our delivery app, and a location SDK on the rider’s phone helps us track the rider’s location and the path being followed. Rider location information is used to send relevant updates (such as accurate delivery status) to you, the customer.
Location details are collected using a third-party library or Google Play services, based on the configuration of your device and app.
LaundryBaba retains personal information only for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain accounts, process orders, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. Account information, order history, transaction and payment records, and operational data are retained while your account remains active and for any additional period required under applicable laws, regulatory, taxation and audit requirements, and legitimate business purposes. When information is no longer required, it will be permanently deleted, anonymised, or securely destroyed using industry-standard practices.
You can delete your LaundryBaba account and data at any time: open the app and go to Settings → Delete Account, or email us at care.laundrybaba@gmail.com. Upon receiving and verifying a valid request, we delete or anonymise your personal information from our active systems within 7 days. Certain information may be retained where required by law, or for regulatory, taxation, audit, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes, and is securely deleted once no longer required.
The LaundryBaba delivery partner application is intended exclusively for authorised delivery partners, employees and operational personnel, and not for the general public. It collects information such as employee details, device information and location data solely for operational purposes — including route optimisation, order assignment, pickup and delivery tracking, attendance verification, service-quality monitoring, customer notifications, fraud prevention and operational accountability. Location may be collected while a delivery partner is actively performing assigned tasks, and is used to monitor route progress, improve efficiency, provide accurate delivery updates, verify task completion and support operational management. Such records are retained only as long as necessary for these purposes and then permanently deleted, anonymised or securely destroyed.

Promotions, offers, discounts and coupons are valid for a limited time only. LaundryBaba reserves the right to modify or cancel coupons at any time. A discount applies only when your order meets the qualifying items, services, order value or percentage criteria while the offer is in effect. Coupons may be used only on the LaundryBaba website or app, in conjunction with services offered by LaundryBaba (not third-party sellers), are limited to one coupon per order, and may not be combined with other discounts. The maximum discount applicable on any coupon is ₹5,000.
To operate reward points, the wallet, service packages, membership and perks, we process your account identity and contact details; your order, payment and invoice history; your points balance and tier; your wallet balances (paid money and bonus credit) and your top-up, redemption and package activity; your membership status and renewal data; and your referral activity. We use this information to run these features, calculate your rewards, issue GST-compliant invoices, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Our legal basis under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 is the performance of our services to you and, where applicable, your consent.
Top-ups, membership charges and refunds are processed by our payment gateways, Razorpay and Cashfree, which handle your payment credentials under their own terms and privacy policies; for auto-renewing membership we retain the mandate reference needed to charge the recurring fee. We do not sell your personal data and share it only with service providers who help us operate (such as Razorpay and Cashfree) and where required by law. If you use a partner perk, that partner processes your interaction with them under its own privacy policy. Transaction, invoice and tax records are retained for the periods required under tax and accounting law, even after account closure; closing your account forfeits unredeemed points and bonus credit, while unused paid money is refunded to your original payment method.
Where we rely on your consent to process personal data, that consent is obtained through a clear, affirmative action and is limited to the purposes described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time — it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give — by contacting our Grievance Officer (below). Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully, and where you withdraw consent for information necessary to provide a service, we may no longer be able to provide that service. We may retain limited information where the law requires it.

LaundryBaba is intended for users aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only under the supervision of, and with the consent of, a parent or lawful guardian, who is responsible for your use of the Service. In line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we do not knowingly process the personal data of a child without the consent of a parent or lawful guardian; if we become aware that we have, we will delete it. We do notcarry out tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children. A parent or lawful guardian may access, correct or delete their child’s personal data, or withdraw consent, at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer.
In line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, you may contact our Grievance Officer with any question, request or complaint about how your personal data is handled:
We aim to acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and to resolve them within the period required under applicable law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
